Elimination of poverty top priority of government: Sameena

Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education, Sameena Khalid Ghurki has said that the strengthening of the national economy, elimination of price hike and lawlessness, poverty alleviation and establishment of the durable peace was the top priority of the government, as the government was making all out sincere efforts for the promotion of sustainable democracy and democratic norms and values in the country.
She stated this while talking to the newsmen here on Sunday. She said that the government would protect the basic rights of the people through ensuring the early and smooth provision of all the basic facilities at their doorsteps and the government will continue this journey of people welfare and services in active co-operation of the party workers.
Sameena said that the government would give the practical shape to the political slogan "Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan". She said that the government was striving to control the rising price hike for giving the maximum financial relief to the people, as she said that, the mounted price-hike was the gift by the previous government's wrong and failed economical and political policies.
She said that the government would also create the maximum job opportunities for the sustainable political and economic stability in the country, besides, evolving an effective and positive strategy to pull out the country from the existing crisis, besides, ensuring the complete freedom supreme judiciary and media and establishment of real democracy in the country.
She said that BB was the torch of guidance for the female party workers and her untimely demise put the female workers far behind in the national political scenario, as the every Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker was considering her/himself as orphan after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. No one was ready to accept that the BB was not with us. She said that the sole aim of BB's return back to her home land Pakistan was only to promote a sustainable democracy and democratic norms and values in Pakistan.
She said that the workers had also become political orphan in the field of politics after the murder of Benazir. She paid rich tributes to Benazir.
