Suicide bomber blew himself up at Thana checkpost: ISPR

A suicide bomber on Sunday blew himself up riding a car at Thana checkpost near Malakand which proved to be an abortive attempt due to the timely action of security forces. According to ISPR updates, the security forces timely intervened and foiled the attempt of the bomber to target the forces.
ISPR stated that security forces conducted search operation at Amluk near Sakhra and apprehended four suspects while five terrorists voluntarily surrendered to the forces at Bar Shaur and recovered an IED and Afghan currency during search operation.
The forces conducted search operation at Kuz Bamakhela near Matta. During the operation, terrorists attacked security forces with hand grenades, resultantly a soldier embraced Shahadat and two terrorists were killed.
Local Jirga handed over a terrorist Fazl-e-Rehman to security forces at Gat, it added. Moreover, during a search operation at Qambar near Mingora security forces recovered five IEDs and one suicide jacket while two terrorists were apprehended in search operation at Jamal Abad near Sangota and Panr near Mingora.
