Front-month September soyabean and soyameal futures on the Chicago Board of Trade plunged at midsession on Monday as traders scrambled to exit positions ahead of the contracts' expiration at midday, traders said. The contracts were trading without daily limits. As of 11:06 am CDT (1605 GMT), September soyabeans were down 57-3/4 cents, or 5.87 percent, at $9.26-3/4.
September soyameal was down $28.50 at $309.50 per ton. Going into Monday's session, there were 84 open contracts remaining in September soyabeans and 604 in September soyameal.
