Three terrorists killed, 18 held in Swat, Malakand operation

Three terrorists have been killed and 18 others arrested by the security forces during the operation Rah-e-Raast in different areas of Swat and Malakand division during last 24 hours, while four terrorists have surrendered voluntarily before forces. The search and clearance operations in Swat and other parts of Malakand division are in full swing and security forces have almost cleared the areas from terrorists, said a spokesman of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Tuesday.
He said that the security forces conducted a search operation in Mangal Taan area of Swat Valley during which terrorists have shown a little resistance. Forces in an attack killed three terrorists and injured many others, he added.
He said that four terrorists have surrendered themselves before the security forces in Chhaprial area of Swat Valley. The spokesman said that during a large-scale search and clearance operation launched in Matta, Choga and Bandyal areas security forces have arrested twelve terrorists. He said that six terrorists were arrested by security forces during a search operation in Salhand village near Shah Dheri area of Swat.
