Abiding by traffic rules can control road mishaps

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Traffic, Dr Sultan Azam Temuri has said that the road accidents could be controlled abiding by the traffic rules and having basic knowledge of road-safety. Addressing the passing out ceremony of 48th batch of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) driving school held here on Tuesday, he said that the ITP driving school was playing a pivotal role in helping establish a disciplined traffic system in the capital and reduce the ratio of accidents.
As many as 5,287 students including 1,371 women have so far been passed out after getting training from ITP Driving School. The SSP Traffic said that the aim of establishment of ITP Driving School was to inculcate driving skills among the public and extending training for driving to maintain traffic discipline on roads.
He stressed upon the students to join hand with ITP and notice traffic violation on roads. He divulged that due to the efforts made by ITP, the ratio of accidents decreased in manifold while proving safe journey to the citizen of Islamabad. SSP Traffic lauded the performance of Inspector Majid Iqbal (Incharge ITP Driving School) and his staff for their successful efforts in ITP to maintain its image among the community. SSP, Traffic, Dr Sultan Azam Temuri distributed certificates and driving licences among the passed out students.-PR
