13 terrorists surrender, seven arrested by forces: gunmen kill five persons in ambush

Thirteen terrorists have surrendered to security forces while seven others were arrested during the ongoing 'Operation Rah e Raast' in Swat and other parts of Malakand division, while five persons, including four of a family, were shot dead by unknown assailants. Unidentified gunmen killed five persons including four of a family in Sakhakot area of Malakand Agency, sources said on Friday.
They said that the incident occurred when unidentified assailants ambushed a pickup in which Fazalur Rehman, his two sons and two other people Azizullah and Alamzaib residents of Garhi Usmankhel, Dargai area of Malakand Agency, were on their way to their village. All of them died on the spot.
The spokesman of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that security forces continued search and clearance operation in Swat and Malakand in which they arrested seven terrorists, while 13 terrorists surrendered. During a search operation in Guljabba, Hazara near Kabbal and Shalhand areas of Swat Valley 11 terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces along with arms and ammunition, he said.
He said that two terrorists also voluntarily surrendered to security forces in Derai Sar near Chuprial and Aloch Bazar. The spokesman said that security forces arrested seven terrorists in Charbagh, Udigram, Malam Jabba and Gulibagh areas of Swat during a search and clearance operation.
