Mirwaiz deplores illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders on Eid

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference in occupied Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly denounced the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Aasiya Andrabi and Muhammad Saleem Nunnaji.
According to Kashmir Media Service, talking to media men in Srinagar, the APHC Chairman deplored that the occupation authorities did not release the leaders even on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr.
He maintained that India would never succeed in suppressing Kashmiris' ongoing movement through such tactics. Mirwaiz said, the people of Kashmir are committed to continue the struggle for right to self-determination and they will not hesitate to render any kind of sacrifice to take it to its logical conclusion. The APHC Chairman thanked the President and Prime Minister on their recent statements on Kashmir. He said, the fresh assertions of Pakistani leaders have generated a new hope amongst the Kashmiris. He hoped that Pakistan would continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmir cause in future.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also felicitated the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr.
In his Eid message, he urged the Kashmiri people to celebrate Eid with simplicity keeping in mind the orphans and widows who had suffered at the hands of Indian troops. He said that the day was not far of when Kashmiris' sacrifices would bear fruit and they would celebrate Eid festivities as a free nation.
