A total of 191 employees of different grades of Sindh Population Welfare Department have been promoted to their next grades on the directives of Sindh Population Welfare Minister Syed Ali Mardan Shah. A spokesman of the department said here on Sunday that these employees were promoted in the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee, held in the chair of Additional Secretary Administration.
According to the decision, one Upper Division Clerk of the department in BPS-9 has been promoted as Assistant in BPS-14, while 46 Family Welfare Workers of BPS-8 have been promoted as Family Welfare Councillors in BPS-11. Similarly, six Family Welfare Assistants of BPS-5 have been promoted into BPS-8 as Family Welfare Workers while one Lower Division Clerk of BPS-7 has been promoted to Grade-7 as Upper Division Clerk. Besides awarding senior scale to 102 drivers of BPS-7, the Departmental Promotion Committee also promoted 35 employees from BPS 1 to 4 into BPS-7 as Lower Division Clerk in Sindh Population Welfare Department.
The Departmental Promotion Committee comprised Additional Secretary Administration, Deputy Secretary Administration, Deputy Secretary Services and General Administration Department and Senior Medical Doctor/ Incharge RHS (A) Centre Jinnah Medical Hospital Karachi.
Meanwhile, Sindh Population Welfare Minister Syed Ali Mardan Shah while congratulating the newly promoted employees has said that it is an Eid gift from the government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and assured the employees that their all problems will be resolved with provision of all benefits.
