Armed forces celebrate Eid with traditional zeal

Armed Forces alongside the nation on Monday celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with traditional zeal and fervour. Large Eid congregations were held in garrison mosques where senior serving and retired military officers offered Eid prayers with troops and prayed for the prosperity and well being of the country.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Tariq Majid alongwith other high ranking military and civil officials offered Eid prayers at Joint Staff Headquarters' Mosque. The congregation offered special prayers for the solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan.
An Eid congregation was held at Chaklala Garrison where the Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervaz Kayani and a large number of high ranking military officials offered Nimaz-e-Eid with troops. After the Eid prayers, special Dua was held for the unity and solidarity of the country and well being of people of Pakistan. Later, Lieutenant General Muhammad Rehan Burney, Surgeon General visited Combined Military Hospital and Military Hospital Rawalpindi where he met the patients and enquired about their health.
