Hi-technology facility lowers Eid cards sale

Eid cards sale normally starts picking up across the country from the middle of Ramazan, but the availability of the latest technology getting increasingly in vogue, the sale of Eid cards in the past few years has significantly decreased.
According to a private TV channel, the availability of the much convenient Internet and SMS service for sending messages seems to have severely hit the traditional posting of Eid cards through the postal department, for which, the department makes huge pre-Eid arrangements for handling and the timely delivery of these cards.
Besides, the global slow down hitting world economy and likewise in Pakistan the hyperinflation have deeply decreased the purchasing power of the people. On the other hand, Eid cards this year were costlier only by 5 percent claimed those attached to this industry, while the people said that sending Eid greetings through Internet and SMS was more handy, hassle-free and effective as well besides numerous varieties of E-Cards are available, which without any cost could be sent to anywhere in the world just by a tip of the finger.
