Colin Munro’s unbeaten 57 lead the Trinbago Knight Riders to an easy win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors by six wickets in the second eliminator of the 2017 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Chasing 160 for victory, the Knight Riders lost Sunil Narine off the first ball of the run chase and Hamza Tariq in the fifth over to lapse to 33/2 at Tarouba.
However, the New Zealand international [Munro] hit six fours in his match-winning partnership of 85 with Darren Bravo (43 off 27) to anchor a thrilling chase.
The Warriors had earlier benefitted from a 47-run partnership between Luke Ronchi (23) and Chadwick Walton (37) before Roshon Primus (35 not out) and Gajanand Singh (39) pushed the score to 159/6.
The Knight Riders will now face the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2017 CPL Final at the Brian Lara Stadium on Saturday night.
Skipper Dwayne Bravo was happy with his team's batting and is looking forward to the finals.
