Our childhood favorite superheroes Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup are soon going to add a fourth member to their gang for helping them fight crime in Townsville.

‘The Powerpuff Girls’ (PPG) that initiated in 1996 and ran for 78 episodes was the all time favorite cartoon of many. Sugar, spice and everything nice, the formula will soon include another ingredient to their ultimate recipe. Being a three women team since the beginning, it will now change to being a four women team.

The first installment of the new five-episode film, ‘The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four’ will start from Sunday September 17 at 5:30 p.m est on Cartoon Network, informs MTV.

Though the name of the new character is yet to be revealed, a teaser indicated her being taller than the three girls with bigger bright blue hair, darker skin tone and a purple costume, reports Comicbook.

The new addition will be voiced by pianist, producer and singer-songwriter Toya Delazy. She also tweeted her picture, confirming the new PPG.

Rob Sorcher, Cartoon Network’s Chief Content Officer expressed, “It has been wonderful to see this new show team bring such passion and positive creative spirit to this iconic property. We know that fans of every age will appreciate this new take on saving the world before bedtime.”

However, this isn’t the first time the girls will have another sister. Remember when in one episode they created a fourth PPG Bunny in Professor Utonium’s lab? People are now looking forward to this new girl which they expect to last longer than Bunny. On the other hand, many people were disappointed by the new edition too.
