US MIDDAY: cocoa and sugar rebound

Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets early on Friday. December arabica contract eased 0.25 cent to $1.2905 per lb at 11:11 am EDT (1511 GMT). Session range from $1.2740 to $1.2985. Follow-through weakness after Thursday's steep fall, but market pared losses as the dollar weakened, said brokers.
March raw sugar contract rose 0.31 cent to 21.75 cents per lb at 11:11 am. Trading range from 21.35 to 21.78 cents. Investor short-covering buoyed the market in modest dealings, with focus on the October contract as it moves toward expiration Wednesday, September 30, said traders. Benchmark December cocoa contract climbed $35 to $3,101 per tonne by 11:12 am. Session range from $3,035 to $3,114.
