Zardari hailed for raising Kashmir issue

All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairperson of Jammu Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, has thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for raising the Kashmir dispute in the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Yasmeen Raja was addressing party workers in occupied Srinagar. She welcomed the recent statements of Pakistan Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi in which they held Kashmir solution pre-requisite for cordial relations between Pakistan and India.
The APHC leader stressed upon India to give up its rigid stance on Kashmir and honour the UN resolutions for amicable solution of the decades-long dispute. She condemned the recent assertion of Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and urged him to avoid issuing provocative statements.
Yasmeen Raja called upon the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to pass a resolution in its recent session asking the United Nations to put pressure on India to withdraw its troops from occupied Kashmir, repeal all black laws, release all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and create conducive atmosphere for a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
On the other hand, the General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen in a statement in occupied Srinagar thanked the President Asif Ali Zardari for raising the Kashmir dispute in his address to the UN General Assembly. He said that that the dialogue process for resolution of the Kashmir dispute was a way forward for addressing security concerns in South Asia and avoiding a nuclear clash between Pakistan and India.
