Senator welcomes passage of Kerry-Lugar Bill

A prominent PPP leader Senator Gul Mohammed Lot has said the passage of Kerry-Lugar Bill is reflective of world support to Pakistan's foreign policy and President Asif Ali Zardari's efforts against terrorism and militancy. He was talking to the media at a reception he hosted for Acting President Farooq Naek at Lot House on Saturday night.
On the occasion, the acting President praised the role of Senator Gul Mohammed Lot in the Senate and his valuable services for the poor and backward people of Thar. The reception was largely attended, among others, by NA Speaker Fahmida Mirza, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza, Provincial Ministers Manzoor Wassan, Jam Mehtab Daher, Mohammed Ayaz Soomro, Agha Siraj Durrani, Advisers Waqas Malik, Sharmila Farooqi, Rashid Rabbani, besides Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Senator Dr Kathu Mal and a number of Consul Generals.
Senator Gul Mohammed Lot said the assistance received under Kerry-Lugar Bill would be spent purely on the welfare of people and with its passage President Zardari had achieved the objective of his visit to the United States.
