Declining trend on grain market

Downward trend persisted on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday as grams prices still on drifting side due to steady arrivals from upcountry centres, dealers said.
On the grams side, gram dal continued decline falling by another Rs 50 at Rs 3800-4000, grams 50x50 followed same pattern and shed same amount to Rs 3300-3500, yellow peas also lost the same figure at Rs 2650-2800 and yellow peas dal Canada dropped the same amount at Rs 2950-4150 and dal beetle was also lower by Rs 100 to Rs 3950-4150, they said.
On the cereals side masoor Canada fell by Rs 100 to Rs 8400-8500, barley Sind low type was down by Rs 400 to Rs 2500- and best type was lower by Rs 450 to Rs 2550. Gur better type gained Rs 100 to Rs 9700 while the inferior type was unchanged at Rs 5900 and Khandsari also rose by Rs 800 to Rs 6800, they said.
On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag good type shed Rs 10 to Rs 950 while the low type did not move any side at Rs 940, cakes were up by Rs 20 to Rs 700-710 and til low quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3550 and good type was up by Rs 150 to Rs 3750, they added.
