Prime Minister orders to prepare master plan for Multan city development

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has directed to immediately prepare the Master Plan for the development of Multan City. Principal Staff Officer to Prime Minister, Yousaf Nasim Khokhar said this while talking to media men at Multan Press Club. He said that if provincial government has any plan with it then it would be also considered.
Nasim Khokhar said that Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has sanctioned the construction of 6 flyovers in the city that would be constructed between Chowk Kumharan Wala to Double Phattak. He said that land has been purchased for Women University and Cadet College whereas technical report has also been prepared for the construction of Medical College and Railway Dry Port.
He said that about Rs 8 billion will be spent on 46 km Multan-Khanewal Extension Motorway. This project would start in February-March 2010, he added. Construction work on Multan-Faisalabad Motorway is under process whereas Northern Bypass project in Multan would be completed till June 30, 2010, he concluded.
