Thin trading was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Saturday as many players did not take interest in fresh purchasing, dealers said. On the cereal side, moong Punjab shed Rs 12 to Rs 3950, masoor Canada low type was down by Rs 200 to Rs 8200 and best type resisted sharp fall but closed with a decline of Rs 100 to Rs 8400.
Guwar Sindh good type, however, gained Rs 100 to Rs 3400 while the inferior quality retained its overnight level at Rs 3100. Gur best quality lost Rs 100 to Rs 6600, low type held the overnight level at Rs 5900, they said. On the seed side, til lost Rs 100 to Rs 3450-3650 and cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh after maintaining a firm trend, shed Rs 10 to Rs 960-980, they said.
