05 Oct, 2009

The federal health ministry has cancelled the registration of 4,000 imported medicines, including those imported from China, after local industrialists objected to their sale in the country, sources revealed on Sunday.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the registration board, chaired by Health Minister Mir Ijaz Hussian Jakhrani. Sources said that the registration of the medicines was cancelled as they were being sold in Pakistan without a guarantee from the manufacturers.
