Faisalabad Police safely recovered 10 persons kidnapped for ransom by organised gangs during the last nine months while 2 were murdered by the kidnappers and four set free after payment of the ransom money. This was stated by Muhammad Tahir, DIG Faisalabad here on Monday while talking to newsmen.
He told that the Faisalabad Police had registered 16 cases of abduction for ransom during the last nine months and after making hectic efforts, Police succeeded in recovering 10 persons including an 11 year Boy, Hamza Ameen. He said police arrested 8 active members of the kidnappers' gang including Arshad, Muzaffar and Anees and recovered Rs 5 Lac from them. The DIG said strict police patrolling has been started in Faisalabad to present the eliminate the cases of kidnapping for ransom in the district.
