Indus Motor holds 16th Kaizen convention

Indus Motor Company (IMC) held its 16th Annual Kaizen Convention recently at a local hotel. Abdul Ghaffar Soomro, Secretary, Ministry of Industries and Production were the chief guest. The convention was attended by eminent personalities from the automobile and engineering industry, educational institutions, guests from House of Habib, IMC vendors, dealers, business partners, and IMC team.
Abdul Ghaffar Soomro congratulated IMC for organising such an event and was pleased to note that 'Kaizen' (continuous search for improvement) and the world famous Toyota production system is being practised at IMC with the Kaizen culture also being implemented at the Company's Dealers and Vendors. He mentioned that Kaizen initiatives and activities should spread to other industries.
Soomro appreciated the efforts of IMC for contribution in the development of the automobile industry in Pakistan and hoped that it would pave the way for an accelerated progress, which is essential for the much needed economic development of our country.
Parvez Ghias, CEO, IMC, in his welcoming address, highlighted the positive role of Kaizen at IMC and its Dealer and Vendor family. He mentioned that 2008-09 was a challenging year for the local auto industry and the sales were badly affected amidst a weak economic environment, deteriorating political and security situation and the overall global financial crisis.-PR
