Seven children among 10 drown

AT least ten persons, including seven children of a family drowned in River Sutlej on Tuesday evening. Four bodies have so far been recovered by the rescue team while another six persons are still missing. DPO Bahawalnagar Abdul Qadar Qayyum said.
"At least 15 persons of a family drowned in River Sutlej near Minchanabad when they were crossing the river as their boat capsized. Rescue team saved five persons, including head of a family Khadim Hussain. Rescue team Incharge Ghulam Nabi said, "we have recovered the bodies of a woman Ghulam Sain, Mohsin Ali (5) Aisha (1.5) and Sania (4) while another six are still missing and we are trying to recover them." Two of the survivors Khadim Hussain and his wife Sarwar Bibi said that six persons including Muhammad Irshad (21) Shehnaz, Sonia, Taj Bibi, Irshad Bibi and Kala are still missing.
