Musharraf admits his guilt

08 Oct, 2009

Musharraf has now admitted his guilt against his illegal and arbitrary action in sending home the Supreme Court Judges and subsequently enforcing emergency in the country. Had he admitted these follies earlier, he would have been saved from the harsh criticism meted out to him by the people which he could not withstand, but ultimately his inner conscience forced him to speak the truth.
Earlier in the case of our renowned scientist, Dr Abdul Qadeer khan, he forced him at the behest of America, to admit that he had passed on some secrets relating to nuclear technology to some foreign countries. for this, he was stripped of his highest award and also imprisoned.
It is ironical that despite the change of Government the great scientist, who brought laurels to the country, is languishing in his home with restricted movement. Most of out politicians; scientists, people of repute and common citizens have suffered very much at the hands of Musharraf, hence he should be put on trial for the crimes he did during his tenure of rule.
