World Wide Funds for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-P) has on Friday organised a certificate distribution ceremony for the Beaconhouse School System interns. About 40 students along with their parents attended the ceremony.
Amir Mehmood, Manager Publications and Individual Membership Programme from WWF-P, gave a brief overview of the first ever internship programme that were initiated by the WWF-P and Beaconhouse School System to the parents. He said the main objective of this internship programme was to increase the capacity-building of the students for nature conservation.
Afsa Babar, Head Career Guidance of Beaconhouse School System, expressed her views on the internship programme and she hoped that such initiatives would serve as a means to raise awareness and realisation among the youth and general public on nature conservation and environmental education. Later, the WWF-P executives distributed certificates to the Beaconhouse School System interns.
