The 7th Asia-Pacific Weeks will be held in Berlin from 7 to 18 October 2009. Under the motto "Partners for a Shared Future", the focus of this year will be on two main themes, each of which will be the subject of a conference: "Global Mobility" and "Energy for the Future".
According to a press release of Pakistan German Business Forum, the "House of World Cultures" will coordinate ten days of art and culture from the Asia-Pacific region. Once every two years Berlin stages the Asia-Pacific Weeks to draw attention to a future region that extends from Pakistan and Mangolia in the West and North to Japan and the Pacific Islands in the East and South.
A delegation of PGBF, consisting Salahud Din Ahmed, President/CEO PGBF, Razak H. M. Bengali, Chief Executive Officer of Baluchistan Wheels (Pvt.) Ltd, Noordin Karim, Chief Executive of Shermah Enterprises, Saifuddin Zoomkawala, Chairman, EFU General Insurance, Tariq Durrani, Director of Systems Company, Tahir Malik, Chairman/CEO of Trafco Logistic (Pvt.) Ltd, and the representatives of some German MNCs are also expected to participate in the event in Germany, from 11th October, 2009.
The main focus of the delegation is to attend Pakistan Business Day in Berlin being held on 12th October, 2009, where President, PGBF would deliver his presentation on the Bilateral Trade & Business Relations, besides Salahud Din Ahmed, Razak H.M. Bengali, Arif Elahi, Director General, Board Of Investment (Sindh) H. E. Shahid Kamal, Pakistan's Ambassador to Germany and Saleem Ghauri, Chairman and CEO, NetSol-Technologies Ltd, would also deliver their presentations/speeches.
Pakistan Business Day will be focusing on investment opportunities in Pakistan in the sectors of Information Technology, Transportation Infrastructure and Renewable Energies while trade opportunities will be presented in the sectors of Gems and Jewellery, Fashion Clothing and Ladies Bags and Shoes.
Many German and Pakistani companies are expected to participate in this event, which is being supported by the Chambers of Commerce in Germany and others. High level delegations of Business representatives, companies, politicians from Pakistan and Germany are scheduled to discuss business matchmaking, trade and investment opportunities with the German investors, especially those with small and medium sized companies.-PR
