At the weekend, 7/S, 10/S, 16/S, 20/S, 22/S, 24/S, 30/S, 32/S, were sold normally but 40/S sale weak in market. 52/S, 60/S, 72/S, 80/S, 85/S better sold in market comparatively from last weak. Market sources said, continuous increase in prices of electricity has become unbearable burden for the industry and it has become impossible to keep the industry running at this high cost of energy.
Further more the supply of electricity is not regular and the manufacturing units cannot maintain their production. Some brands of yarn out of market and some new Brands name introduced here but not given better position in market due to highest prices. It was also noticed that the new exporters and small powerloom owners were the worst hit. Those who had a chain of business purchasing yarn on behalf of their foreign buyers are also in hot-waters due to uncertainty in the cotton yarn market.
