The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started a survey of private and public organisations to ascertain the market based salaries and packages for the tax officials under the new organisational setup. Sources told Business Recorder on Monday that the latest developments in the ongoing reform process regarding Human Resource Management included appointment of the FBR Director General (HRM).
The FBR has formed new teams to work on the issues of integration, new Jobs Descriptions and market based salaries-(Survey is being conducted to find out the salaries of private and public organisations). The new performance based Bonus/Reward Scheme is also being finalised. Directorate General of Training has started conducting orientation/short training programs for both occupational groups ie Income Tax and Customs.
