The Home Department, Government of Sindh has extended the period of ban on plying of heavy vehicles carrying water and construction materials/dumpers, to sixty days, under Section 144 CrPC with effect from September 30, 2009. The plan was imposed for plying the vehicles, only on the city roads, during peak hours in morning 7:30 to 9:30am and 6:00 to 8:00pm.
