LAHORE: Confident Pakistan are all set to face World XI in the second Twenty20 of the three-match Independence Cup being played at Gaddafi Stadium today (Wednesday).

The nation marked the return of international cricket back to home with Pakistan comfortably defeating the all stars team in the first T20.

Babar Azam was the star of the night with an impressive batting display. He made classy 86 in the game which Sarfarz XI won by 20 runs.

A near-capacity crowd of 25,000 was present to witness the hosts claim victory on Tuesday. A similar number of fans are expected to turn out at the stadium for the second T20, especially after their side’s commanding performance where the seldom put a foot wrong.

The home team’s win will give the remaining two T20Is a competitive edge.

Now Faf du Plessis and co will be eyeing to level the series while the Green-shirts would be aiming to wrap up the home series.

The match will begin at 7:00PM PST.
