Prices turn lower on seed, grain market

Downward trend was seen on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as supply was good in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side urad Burma was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 2900. Guwar Sindh fell by Rs 100 to Rs 3000-3300, guwar Punjab best type was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 2700 while the low type did not show any change at Rs 2300.
Gur low type lost Rs 200 to Rs 5300 while inferior type was unmoved at Rs 6200, dealers said. On the grams side gram 50x50 was modestly up by Rs 50 to Rs 3250-3450 and yellow peas Canada followed suit and gained the same amount at Rs 2675-2825, other items did not move any side during the session, they said.
On the seed side til low type was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 3300 and best quality also fell by Rs 300 to Rs 3400, other items were unchanged due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
