Turkish Prime Minister to address joint session of Parliament

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address the joint session of the Parliament of Pakistan on Monday, reliable sources told Business Recorder on Wednesday. According to the sources, the Turkish Prime Minister in his address would highlight Pak-Turkish relations and the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah.
In his address to the joint sitting of the Parliament, he would also draw attention of the international community towards terrorism being global problem but Pakistan facing the hardest form after 9/11. Sources further said that Prime Minster of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani would also address the joint-sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. They said that Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Fehmida Mirza would preside the session. The session would be prorogued on the same day.
According to the press release issued by the National Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the president has been pleased to summon both the houses of Majlis-e-Shoora for joint sitting in the Parliament Building, Islamabad on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 04:00 pm.
