Fauji Fertiliser Bin Qasim Ltd has posted Rs 1,307.208 million as profit after tax in the quarter ended September 30, 2009 as compared to after tax loss of Rs 173.851 million recorded in the same quarter in 2008. The company's earning per share was recorded at Rs 1.40 in the period under review against per share loss of Rs 0.19 in the same quarter last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday recommended second interim cash dividend for the quarter at Rs 1.25 per share ie 12.5 percent. According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 12.025 billion in this period against Rs 3.404 billion. The cost of sales increased to Rs 8.590 billion against Rs 2.076 billion. The company registered before tax profit of Rs 2,207.733 million in this period against before tax loss of Rs 276.158 million in the same period previous year.
