'Security of Parliament House to be strengthened'

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Babar Awan Thursday said that security situation of the Parliament House was of paramount importance. He said this while presiding over a meeting to review security arrangements for the Joint Session of the Parliament to be held on October 26 in the Parliament House.
The Minister directed the Islamabad Police, CDA and National Assembly security staff to ensure better co-ordination for appropriate security arrangements. He also directed the CDA to make arrangements for beautification of the roads leading from Airport to the Parliament House. He assured the security agencies for provision of funds and equipment. The meeting was briefed by the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner ICT, DIG Security and AIG Police.
