The after tax loss of Attock Refinery Limited has declined to Rs 396.249 million in the first quarter (July-September) of FY10 from Rs 870.179 million recorded in the corresponding quarter in FY09. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday declared that the company's per share loss has reduced to Rs 4.65 in the period under review against Rs 10.20 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales declined to Rs 19.256 billion in this period against Rs 30.250 billion in the same period last year. The cost of sales declined to Rs 19.779 billion against Rs 30.790 billion. The company's before taxation loss from refinery operations stood at Rs 553.182 million in the first quarter of FY10 from Rs 870.179 million registered in FY08.
