'No room for extremism in Pakistan'

Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that terrorism was a hurdle in the way of progress and economic prosperity of the country and the whole nation was united to crush extremism out from the society. He also said military operation was very successful in South Wazirstan and Pakistan army has achieved great successes during this operation.
"Terrorist attacks on innocent people are cowardly acts, which are widely condemnable," he said adding there was no room for extremist in Pakistan, as they had become a lingering menace, which should be eliminated at every corner. According to him, the terrorists want to destabilise the democratic process but the government would foil the nefarious designs of extremists with the support of the people.
Poverty, illiteracy and backwardness were main causes of extremism and these root-causes should be dealt with as top priorities so that society could be saved from extremism, he said. He said that the President Asif Ali Zardari was fully committed to save the country from extremism and whole nation has supported him. The government would eliminate the extremists and there was no room for extremism in Pakistan, as they had become a lingering menace which should be eliminated at every cost.
