Chairman National Democratic Front (NDF) and member National Assembly, Khawaja Mohammad Hoti has called for holding of mid-term polls in the country. Talking to journalists, he said opposition in both parliament and provincial assemblies were playing a friendly role and critics were allowed to speak in the houses.
He said the dirty game was being played in the name of preventing democracy from derailment. "The holding of mid-term is no new phenomena in the democratic sit ups, saying our neighbour India had went to mid-term polls several times," maintained Hoti.
The member of the National Assembly, who has resigned from federal capital, was also critical of the sugar crisis in the home district of Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti. He accused both members of the provincial assembly and government machinery for making money in the crisis, saying the government was committing contempt of court.
The District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Mardan was distributing sugar through the office bearers of ANP, he said. The elements, he alleged instead of providing it to the people were minting money through selling the commodity in black market.-PR
