Ali Gilani denied visa to participate in UK Kashmir moot

26 Oct, 2009

India, in its fresh act of suppression of Kashmiris, has denied the visa of UK to the Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, restraining him from participating in the `Intra-Kashmir Conference' in London.
Following the act, Gilani called on the participants of the conference to adopt a unanimous resolution on withdrawal of the troops from the occupied territory, and on the implementation of UN resolutions on Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Gilani has expressed serious concerns over the occupation of over 2.7 million canals in the land of Kashmiris by Indian troops. Gilani said that he welcomes the dialogue process, however, he wishes that Pakistan, India and Kashmiris should (jointly) start the process to settle the Kashmir dispute, inline with the UN resolutions.
