With the number of increasing vehicles every passing day, in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are experiencing different problems like traffic jams and lack of parking. Most of the people park their vehicles on the roadsides that often results into traffic jam.
It has been found that people are facing parking problems at Aabpara, Karachi Company, Super Market, Jinnah Super, Weekly Bazaar G-6, Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market and at other places. The visitors at markets have to park their vehicles along the main road that not only creates traffic jams, but also results into accidents some times. Moreover, going for shopping to G-6 bazaar on motor bike is a nightmare, as they have to park their bikes either on footpath or on the roads.
An official of CDA told APP that CDA was well aware of the problems being faced by the people and would try its level best to address these problems. The CDA has also planned to construct parking lots in major markets of the city to ensure free flow of traffic, he said. He hoped that this step would help overcome the parking problems at the bazaar.
