IJP road repair and construction work from 9th Avenue to Faizabad would be completed within two months. Spokesman Capital Development Authority (CDA) said here on Sunday that there is a heavy load of trucks on IJP road, which damages it.
"To avoid this problem CDA started construction of separate lane for trucks, which would be completed within two months", he added. He also informed that all the temporary Uturns at IJP road would also be carpeted within a month.
IJP is a major road connecting two main bus stops of Pirwadhai and Faizabad and a large number of commuters of twin cities travel between them regularly.
"There are no signboards at these Uturns for the commuters convenience, which could cause fatal accident", said Asad who travels on IJP daily. Lauding the civic body, he said that reconstruction of several roads of the federal capital have decreased problems of the commuters and reduced traffic jams and urged the concerned authorities to expedite the repair work of IJP road.
