Government of Sindh has asked the federal government and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to arrange a friendly match in Karachi between the teams of Pakistan and World XI.

Sindh Minister for Information, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, in a statement appreciated PCB for hosting the current international cricket series and marking a new beginning in the country, he said it was unfortunate that mega-city like Karachi with thousands of cricket enthusiasts was ignored.

"We feel that at-least one of the matches planned for three match series should have been played in Karachi, home to die hard admirers of the game," said the provincial minister who also holds the portfolios of Labour and Transport.

Syed Nasir Hussain, said exclusion of Karachi despite restoration of peace and marked improvement in law and order situation was a cause of anguish for many of ardent supporters of the game.

"Our youth in general and young cricketers in particular should have been provided with an opportunity to watch themselves the game and see world class players on the field," said the Sindh Minister for Information.
