Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 99,302 tonnes of cargo including 36,863 tonnes import and 62,439 tonnes export cargo including 2,519 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 87,092 tonnes dry cargo including 50,732 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 6,810 tonnes DAP; 1,758 tonnes sunflower seeds; 11,500 tonnes clinker; 16,292 tonnes cement and 12,210 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely APL Pusan, Ninos, Quetta, OXL Blue Sea, Blossom, Saeed and MSC Germany sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Maha Vidya, Sima Sahba, MSC Germany, Iron Butterfly, Bow Summer and Ltc Calvin P. Titus are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Bow Summer, Bolan and Providence expected to sail on Wednesday, while another four vessels viz Bunga Raya Tujuh, Maha Vidya, Andinet and Red Sea Spirit are expected to sail on Thursday.
Two vessels viz Hyundai Baron and Bavaria Express due to arrive on Wednesday, while another four ships namely Hellespoint Prosperity, Kota Layar, Ellenita and Conti Express are due to arrive on Thursday.

The cargo comprised of 37,182 tonnes diesel oil; 2,582 tonnes LPG; 7,004 tonnes palm oil; 980 tonnes project cargo; 7,045 tonnes coke; 587 tonnes sugar; 3,636 tonnes sunflower seeds; 3,587 tonnes cement and 22,851 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely MT Chem Hydra, MV Meta, MV Industrial Eagles and CV Nedlloyed Asia sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely MT ST Kitts and MT Ander Jacob are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of eight vessels viz ACX Salvia, CMA CGM Jade, MSC Magali, Al-Salam-II, Coral, Rose-II, Royal Diamond and Alexi-I scheduled to load/offload containers, diesel oil, sugar and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine ships namely CV Nedlloyed Asia, MV Hoang Son Sky, MV July-M, MV Merce Metale, MV Industrial Eagles, MT ST Kitts, MT Asia Star, MT Ander Jacob and MV Safe Voyager are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, sunflower seeds, LPG, palm oil, diesel oil and coke respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely CV ACX Salvia, CV CMA CGM Jade and MT Al-Salam-II carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Two vessels viz Oocl Kobe and Al-Mutanabbi are due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely Maersk Novazzano and MSC Megali are due to arrive on Friday. Five ships namely CSAV Morumbi, Tong List, Glory, Alpha Harmony and Kalliopll with containers, iron ore and coal are also expected to arrive.
