Jamaat-i-Islami Chief Syed Munawar Hassan has strongly condemned the bomb blast in Peshawar and expressed deep grief on the massive loss of life and property. In his statement issued from Mansoora on Wednesday, he said that the subversive activities in the country had increased many folds after the arrival of Black Water terrorists and checking their activities was a serious challenge both for the government and the army.
JI chief said that it was surprising that armed Americans were freely moving on the streets of the federal capital and they were quietly released on the intervention of the Interior Ministry and other agencies.
He stressed that the government should adopt concrete measures to protect the life and property of the citizens instead of merely issuing orders for investigation. It was high time that government openly named the foreign powers trying to destabilise the country. Munawar said that the ANP government in the NWFP had totally failed and it was fully involved in the killings of Pakhtoons.
