Enhanced Sino-Pak ties to help bring stability in region: Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has stressed the need for further enhancing the bilateral co-operation between Pakistan and China in all spheres of life, saying that the co-operation between the two countries would help in bringing stability in the region.
"Both Pakistan and China have their strategic significance and Pakistan will try to learn from the Chinese economic development," Malik said while talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui, who called on him here on Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral matters of mutual interests.
The minister said Pakistan gave utmost importance to its relations with China, being a reliable and close friendly state. He said both the states enjoyed time-tested friendship and brotherly co-operation between Pakistan and China would bring stability and prosperity in the region. Chinese envoy Luo Zhaohui said that China gave special significance to its ties with Pakistan. He said both the countries were extending co-operation to each other, and China wished to further strengthen its ties with Pakistan.
