Pervez Said appointed as president of DIBL

A prominent figure of banking sector, Pervez Said has taken over the charge of CEO and President of Dawood Islamic Bank Ltd. Pervez Said carries over 20 years of diversified experience in banking, marketing and business management, having worked for leading multinational financial institutions and FMCGs in Pakistan and abroad.
He has served at senior positions with reputable organisations including Citibank, Meezan Bank, Mashreq Bank (U.A.E.), Exxon Chemicals, Lever Brothers, Johnson and Johnson and Reckitt Benckiser. He has an MBA degree from Ohio University USA with major in Finance and Marketing.
Said joins DIBL from the State Bank of Pakistan where he was the Director of Islamic Banking Department and Advisor to the Governor State Bank. He has represented SBP in different capacities in IIFM, IFSB and AAOIFI. He was also a member and Secretary of the Shariah Board of the SBP. Prior to SBP Said has also worked for Citibank in Pakistan and UAE, both in conventional as well as Islamic Banking. Having in-depth knowledge and extensive exposure of all aspects Said is considered as an expert on Islamic banking both locally and internationally.-PR
