Government striving for future of next generation: minister

Federal Minister for Population Welfare, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government is paying special attention for the development and bright future of the next generation. In this regard, maximum funds will be released. Addressing a public gathering after inauguration of spur and protection wall over the Head Marala Bridge, Sialkot, Monday.
The minister said that revolutionary steps have been taken for the modernisation of basic facilities and early completion of development projects for the betterment of the masses. She announced that Sui gas would also be provided to this area on priority. She called on the people to co-operate with the government for the solution of their problems.
She further said the masses should get united against the menace of terrorism, and urged people to ensure that no anti state element exists in their ranks. Earlier, the in charge of Head Marala Bridge briefed the minister about the construction of spur and protection wall over the bridge. Senior Provincial Minister of Irrigation Raja Riaz Ahmed, Provincial Minister for Sports, Punjab Dr Tanvir ul Islam and MPA Tahir Hundli accompanied the minister.-PR
