The Repertory Theatre of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) here on Tuesday kicked off its 3-day Drama workshop for over 50 young male and female actors. The participants were selected from the recently held auditions under the PNCA's Talent Hunt Programme in which young talent was selected from the twin cities.
"To provide the youngsters of twin cities with a platform to get drama education with complete background, the workshop will focus on the history of theatre, universal principles of acting, tools of acting and many other aspects of drama acting," said one of the organiser of the workshop.
During various sessions of the workshops, noted actors like Tauqeer Nasir and Agha Nasir will deliver lectures on the topics of 'Imagination of an Artist', 'Different Schools of Thought like Realism, Symbolism and Abstract' and 'How to Conceive a Character'.
According to the organisers, the workshop was an effort to transfer the skills and experience of the established artists into the budding artists. The drama acting course will also focus on voice control, facial expressions and way of speaking during acting various kind of roles.
