US MIDDAY: coffee and sugar drop; cocoa up

Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets early on Tuesday. December arabica coffee contract dropped 2.50 cents to $1.3985 per lb at 11:04 am EST (1604 GMT). Session range from $1.39 to $1.4205. Arabica coffee futures corrected lower following Monday's rally, said brokers.
March raw sugar contract eased 0.04 cent to 23.40 cents per lb at 11:05 am. Trading from 23.12 to 23.69 cents. Sugar marginally easier as the market stayed in consolidation mode, said traders. Benchmark December cocoa contract jumped $42 to $3,292 per tonne by 11:06 am. Trading from $3,223 and $3,301. US cocoa reversed higher as fund buying triggered automatic buy orders, while some December/March spreading boosted the volume, said traders.
