07 Nov, 2009

The row between employees of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) and Director General ACE is going on, as the employees held a protest demonstration against the DG for transferring them here on Friday. The Director General ACE, Kazim Ali Malik, told reporters that he had transferred the officials on administrative grounds. "There is no room in ACE for officials enjoying bad reputation," he added.
Kazim further said that around 2500 pending cases have been disposed off, which shows the performance of the ACE. He vowed to purge the ACE from corrupt elements. On the other hand, employees of the ACE held demonstration against the DG. They said the sitting DG is a PCO Judge, hence he does not deserve posting as DG ACE. They demanded his immediate transfer.
