Forces kill 20 militants in South Waziristan: large caches of munitions seized

Security forces on Sunday killed 20 terrorists in South Waziristan in the operation Rah-e-Rast on the 18th day of the launching of the military offensive against the militants in their stronghold. According to ISPR latest updates up to Sunday, eight security personnel including an officer also received injuries in a battle with the well-equipped terrorists.
During the operation, security forces also arrested 18 suspected people from different parts. The forces also recovered heavy caches of sophisticated weapons and discovered a factory used by the terrorists for making electrical devices for IEDs (circuits, remote control) at Gadawai, and huge quantity of circuits and remote controls were recovered.
According to ISPR, the forces consolidated their position in the Jandola-Sararogha area, killed three terrorists, and recovered a huge quantity of weapons from the area.
In Shakai-Kaniguram Axis, security forces fully dominate and control the entire axis and conducted search operation around the axis. Besides, search and clearance operation was conducted at Totai, Langar Khel, Tapparghai, Gutsurai, Gadowai, Bangal Khel and Kund Mela and also recovered huge quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives from these areas.
Security forces also conducted clearance and search operation at Bhadur Khel, Manza Kai and Wuchoba. Besides, terrorists fired with small arms and rockets at Blanki Sar, Lagar Manza, Kund Mela and Makeen. During encounter, five terrorists were killed in the area.
