700 metric tons of sugar available for Quetta region

Seven hundred metric tonnes of sugar stock is available for Utility Stores in Quetta Region. Every utility stores in Quetta and Mastung is being provided one thousand kilograms sugar on daily basis. This was stated by Zonal Manager Utility Stores Corporation (USC) Quetta, Gul Muhammad Shahwani, while talking to journalist here on Sunday.
He said Quetta region consisting of Quetta and Mastung has 76 utility stores and 66 of them are working in Quetta. He said the number of utility stores in Loralai, Sibi, Khuzdar, Noshki and Pishin is 718.
He said 14 thousand bags of 50-kg sugar (total weight 700 metric tonnes) are available for the region. He said other 5 regions have been provided with 300 metric tonnes of sugar each.
He said every Utility Stores in Quetta is provided 500 bags of 2-Kg sugar daily. This sugar is sold at Rs 38 per Kg to the citizens. To question he denied the reports of illegal sale of utility stores' sugar in markets.
